We’re happy to welcome our first cohort of Peer Assist Leaders. These students have worked with Dierre and are now equipped to mediate conflicts between students. In the near future, they will be ready to assist with keeping circles. Here’s to student leadership!

3/14 – We had a great Expeditionary Thursday on Pi Day.  Check out the longer post here:

3/15 – Sports Jersey Day as March Madness continues!

3/15 – We had a student contingent participate in today’s climate action event at City Hall.  So proud of our students for their activism and courage!  Special thanks to parents Tish (7th grade Elijah and 8th grade Leo) and Dani (8th grade Xavi) for coordinating!

3/15 – We had our second annual International Food Festival event with BNS as a warm community building event in the cafeteria.

Other sights around the school:

Grade 7 launched into their debate topic this year about genetic modification in the US by doing a human barometer exercise in ELA class!  So excited for their April debates!  This is going to be another great year!

Wow – Grades 6- 8 is rockin’ the IXL – check out our Habits of Scholarship IXL stats board for the Top 20 students in Math IXL this year so far!

So proud of Luna and Denzel for persisting in their academic journey and graduating this past January 2019.  They were originally part of BCS Class of 2018.
