Students in 7th grade ELA have been learning about debate technique as well as how to find the strongest evidence to support your arguments. Yesterday they put these skills to the test while participate in a day long debate about the death penalty in the United Stated. The were joined by family members, community activists and other local experts who cheered them on and served as judges for the day. We are so proud of all their hard work.
