6th grade Visits the Met on their final ET of the year

Students visited the MET to synthesize their prior knowledge of how the 7 lenses of a civilization were developed and sustained. They rotated through several key permanent exhibitions, including Mesopotamia, Ancient China, and Ancient Rome. Students then engaged in a community building initiative in Central Park before returning to BCS where they participated in a fishbowl debate answering the question: what it the most important lense in making a civilization sustainable?

Students were engaged and empowered to use their prior knowledge in the museum. Tackling the question of which lense makes a civilization most sustainable opened up some passionate debate.
