- Please use your home test kits before returning on Monday or whenever you feel symptoms
- As per the DOE, schools will continue to distribute two home COVID tests per week to staff and four per week to students, until further notice. At any time, you can come to 416 to get kits. In addition, as per the FDA, the expiration date on tests has been extended by three months, so even if the expiration date is approaching, or has passed recently, these tests are acceptable for use.
OPPORTUNITIES
Creative Writing Summer Program for HS Students
- Wanted to let you know about this three-week free program for high school students (from rising 9th graders to graduation seniors), offered through PEN America–a great organizer that has been connecting my 12th grade classes with visiting professional writers to help students with their narratives and MPBATs.
- The three-week program runs Monday through Thursday, July 11-29, 2 days a week in person on the NYU campus, and 2 days a week on Zoom. Students will learn about creative writing, journalism and photography and will put together a publication at the end of the program. (Here’s more info). Will look great on college applications!
- To apply, students should fill out this quick form or email a photo of it to the program director, James Traub, at traub54@gmail.com.
