5/20 – NYC Outward Bound hosted Senior Meet Up Day, where seniors from all the network schools met up and learn who’s going where in September! There were breakout sessions where seniors with similar post secondary plans had the chance to meet each other, share experiences and ask detailed questions of guest speakers/admissions officers from neighboring colleges. Thanks to Karlette, Todd, and 12crew for supporting our seniors.
5/21 – Students in Spanish for Native and Heritage Speakers are exploring Latin American historical cultures and current policies.
5/21 – Grade 6 Math roundtables were awesome!
5/21 – Economics students in Grade 12 welcomed Yasmin Tayag, lead editor of Inverse.com, who facilitated a circle about science and the economy: Mars, sleep research and is the impossible burger good?
5/22 – Our annual End of Year meeting took place with NYC Outward Bound to help us assess our progress on the year’s goals. We had teacher and student participation, and we’re looking to build on our successes in next year’s work plan!
