4/23-27 – Highlights of the Week!

Another busy week here at Brooklyn Collaborative!

4/23 – BCS students (current and alumni!) joined Red Hook Initiative staff and community residents as part of a rally to make Hamilton Avenue safer.  They were joined by Borough President Eric Adams and City Councilmember Carlos Menchaca.  Students gathered with Parent Coordinator Tracey at the congested Hamilton Avenue intersection closest to the school with “dream Hamilton Avenue” artwork and signs and demanded safety improvements for Red Hook’s main pathway in and out of the community!

4/23 – Geometry students presented their roundtables on the Geometry of Pool and completed on-demand problems in front of external panelists.  Students explained how to predict if the ball will go into a particular pocket based on the bounce angle/side using trig functions.
