11/18 – DOE ANNOUNCEMENT – Temporary All Public School Building Closure beginning Thurs 11/19

  • Please see the attached letter from the Chancellor.
    • As of November 18, the City has now reached the 3%+ threshold of test positivity citywide and, as a result, the DOE will temporarily close down all public school buildings for in-person learning, Thursday, November 19. 
    • This closure of buildings is temporary; we will work diligently alongside other City agencies and every New Yorker to bring this transmission rate back down and get back to in-person learning as quickly and as safely as possible.
  • Please note the following information about your schedule when we go 100% virtual.

What happens if the building closes and the whole school goes 100% virtual?

 

If you are in Group D (a fully remote student), then your schedule/links will stay the same.

 

If you are in Group A (a blended learning student who usually has in-person classes on Mondays and Tuesdays), then…

  • On Mondays, follow your Thursday Zoom schedule for ELA and Science only.  Use the Group B Zoom links in Google Classroom.

  • On Tuesdays, follow your Friday Zoom schedule for Math and Social Studies only.  Use the Group B Zoom links in Google Classroom.

  • Your Wednesday afternoon and Thursday/Friday Zoom schedule will stay the same (use the Group A Zoom links in Google Classroom).

  • If you usually have in-person Wednesday Academic Foundations, your teachers will email you about meeting on Zoom instead.

 

If you are in Group B (a blended learning student who usually has in-person classes on Thursdays and Fridays), then…

  • On Thursdays, follow your Monday Zoom schedule for ELA and Science only.  Use the Group A Zoom links in Google Classroom.

  • On Fridays, follow your Tuesday Zoom schedule for Math and Social Studies only.  Use the Group A Zoom links in Google Classroom.

  • Your Wednesday afternoon and Monday/Tuesday Zoom schedule will stay the same (use the Group B Zoom links in Google Classroom).

  • If you usually have in-person Wednesday Academic Foundations, your teachers will email you about meeting on Zoom instead.
