MATH

We have put together some math practice materials for students to do over the summer. While this work is not required, it is a great way to review key concepts and build confidence heading into next year’s math class. Setting aside time each week (recommended – 30 minutes a day) will make a big difference come September.

For students going into Grade 6:

  • Work on the “Get Ready for 6th Grade Math” Khan Academy Course. Follow these instructions to access the course:
  • Go to khanacademy.org/join/QXW97AAY
  • Click “Create a new account” and enter your birthday month and year
  • Select “Continue with Google” and enter your DOE email 

For students going into Grade 7:

  • Work on the “Get Ready for 7th Grade Math” Khan Academy Course. Follow these instructions to access the course:
  • Go to khanacademy.org/join/MVYH8VT2 
  • Click “Create a new account” and enter your birthday month and year
  • Select “Continue with Google” and enter your DOE or BCS email 

For students going into Grade 8:
