Join us for our final installment of Reading in the Round on Wednesday, May 20th. At 5:30, savor a free home-cooked meal, while 4th, 5th, and 6th graders perform scenes from Godspell created in the Arts Continuum Musical Theater after-school class. 6th graders will also perform poetry, songs, and rhythmic schemes created in their Elective classes. At 6:30, join us in a conversation with Cathleen Davitt Bell, author of I Remember You, andSusan Westover, BNS/BCS Librarian, who will challenge us to reexamine why and how we read, and the importance of story in our lives. Marieke van Woerkum from Morningside Center for Teaching Social Responsibility will then lead us deeper into the conversation with a storytelling circle.
