It's PBAT Panel Time! This time around, we have over 250 students presenting their papers this Spring, needing three panelists for each. We need you!
We are very proud of the work produced, and we are eager for you to participate in our performance-based assessment task (PBAT) panel. We seek panelists who are interested in performance assessment and who wish to support the learning process of adolescents.
Most PBAT Panels will be taking place during Regents week - Wednesday, June 15th - Friday, June 24th. But, with so many students presenting, we are hoping to get as many done as we can before that week.
What do you do as a PBAT Panelist?
You will receive the student's paper and the rubric beforehand via email. You will assess the student's paper using the rubric and then think of challenging questions for the student to answer when s/he presents his/her paper to you at the oral presentation. At the panel, you hear the student's presentation along with teachers and other panelists and discuss with all the evaluators what will become the student's final score on the PBAT.
