The Artistic Director, JW Guido visited our class to share personal stories about himself and his life in professional theater. The New York Deaf Theatre, LTD (NYDT) was established in 1979 by a group of Deaf actors and theatre artists who wanted to create opportunities for the production of a dramatic art form that was not found elsewhere in New York City: plays in American Sign Language (ASL). NYDT is the longest running company of its kind in the greater New York City area and the third oldest Deaf Theatre company in America.
