BCS Math teacher Adam Chawansky is recipient of MfA Early Career Fellowship!

We’re so proud of BCS Math teacher Adam Chawansky (Adam teaches Grade 8 Math and Algebra 2 in the Upper Grades).  Adam is featured online as the recipient of a MfA Early Career Fellowship (http://www.mathforamerica.org/fellowships/earlycareer).

“As an early career teacher, MƒA workshops constantly provide solid teaching strategies that are engaging to students and that I can immediately use in my classroom.”
– MƒA Early Career Fellow Adam Chawansky

It is an honor to be selected as an MfA Early Career Fellow.  “The four-year MƒA Early Career Fellowship gives promising new K-12 mathematics and science teachers the support they need to become outstanding educators and to grow in their profession. MƒA Early Career Fellows know their subject and are dedicated to seeking ways to deepen their understanding of mathematics or science content and pedagogy.  Showing enormous promise in the classroom, MƒA Early Career Fellows are a part of a community of dynamic beginning STEM teachers building best practices. The fellowship provides extensive professional support to enable early career teachers to grow and thrive in their profession. It’s our goal to support these bright new teachers who can become tomorrow’s Master Teachers.”
