We’ve had a great first full week of academic classes!
Students in 7th grade science started the year by engaging in a discussion about what it means to collaborate in class. They then participated in a spaghetti tower challenge and had the opportunity to reflect on how their team worked together to achieve their goals.
Students in the Upper Grades selective class “String Figures” learned advanced string configurations. The class is co-taught by facilitator Jim Murphy and focuses on the beautiful interaction of hands with strings and the creation of complex geometrical patterns based on this interaction.
