Really busy week at BCS to close out September!
We loved seeing the 7th grade Bookface Challenge! Students went to the library and took creative photos merging their faces with a book cover. The competition is fierce! We can’t wait to see who wins the most votes. All students, staff and families can vote by emailing Christina@bcs448.org

9/26 – Our seniors and families attended a presentation on Supporting your child: Overview of the College Process — Application & Affordability, led by College Counselor Karlette & Guest Speaker Karli McMenamin from NYS Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC).
9/25 – Chief Logistics Officers of Alibaba.com, Erica Chan and Qi Chun,
joined the junior Internship class to share their experiences in the company Brooklyn launch in Industry City. They fielded questions on their own journey through internships and work as well as challenging questions about the company’s policy on vaping products.
Chemistry students did a “Dump and Clump” activity about phase changes.
9/26 – We were so thrilled to welcome parents at our annual Curriculum Night! The packed night featured an Arts Showcase, a bake sale from our BCS Wolves Girls Basketball Team, and presentations from teachers and crew leaders!
9/26 – Our World Arts Department held a mini Arts Showcase, featuring student work to date this year. What a gorgeous collection of high quality work! So proud of our teachers Magen, Jill, Kori, and Christine F!
9/27 – Singaporean-American Artist Jia Sung joined Stephen’s Crew on Friday to share her work on ‘zines and watercolors. She is a Smack Mellon fellow which is also a BCS internship site.
