Students in Lauren and Arden‘s class worked on an argument writing expedition exploring current and historic social justice issues, and the different ways people have responded to injustice over time. Their final products included a persuasive letter to the Department of Justice stating their position on the Eric Garner debate, and speeches that persuaded their peers to speak out to injustice either through nonviolence or “by any means necessary”. This work was showcased at the Social Justice Expo where they presented their projects to fellow peers and a panel of judges.
