Last Friday, 6th grade ELA students wrapped up their work with Brooklyn Public Library’s Brooklyn Connections at a convocation in the BPL’s Dweck Center auditorium. They were represented by Xavi, Jada, and Stefanie who presented their work on Gentrification: Who Owns a Neighborhood? Brooklyn Connections is the school outreach arm of Brooklyn Public Library’s Brooklyn Collection and offers access to original archival materials and support on student research. In a partnership with the BNS/BCS Library, Brooklyn Connections worked with students on a series of lessons on using primary sources in their research.
