WHAT A PACKED WEEK WE HAD AT BROOKLYN COLLABORATIVE!!
We had a state review team visiting us this week (Tues 5/14 to Thurs 5/16). It was a great visit and there were many exciting things to see!
Tues 5/14 – We celebrated our lovely class of seniors at the BCS Class of 2019 prom! It was a wonderful time at Giando on the Water, and our seniors looked A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Thurs 5/16 – Shout out to Glen who was nominated for the Gaynor McCown Excellence in Teaching Award this year. He was honored with other nominees at this year’s NYC Outward Bound Schools gala.

7th grade Science students with Dierre and Glen are working on their weighted towers leading up to next week’s Day of Destruction!
Lower Grades PE with Brandi is ramping up the field hockey unit, moving out from the gym to the yard as the weather warms up!
Upper Grades Computer Science students in Brian’s class presented their MicroBit projects, which they made in partnerships to meet a specific human need.
Climate Change students with Beth earned points as part of their activism and put up leaves to represent their points on the Climate Change tree!
Students in Raka’s Biology class went up to our roof as part of their green roofs case study! What a stunning view!
Students are proud of their IXL achievements, putting in effort to complete additional problems to practice skills and concepts.
Students participated in stations as part of their Spanish PBAT in Magen’s Spanish 1 class.
