Semester 1 Final Grades are Available in PupilPath and Transcripts have been mailed home

  • Review your Fall 2020 numeric report card grades. You can find these in PupilPath (click on “Grades” → “Report Card” → “2020-2021 Term 1″)
  • If you have an NX, you must continue to submit work to your teachers in order to achieve Beginning Mastery.  You have not yet passed that class.
  • Transcripts have been mailed home as of Fri 2/5.  Please look out for it in your mailbox.
  • The DOE grading policy permits families in Grades 6-12 to convert any numeric grade above 65 to CR (credit) so that the numeric grade does not impact a student’s cumulative average
  • Crew leaders will start informing families of your options and how to submit your request beginning this week – please reach out to your crew leader with questions.

OPPORTUNITIES

Take Action against high-stakes standardized testing

  • Momentum is building to cancel high-stakes standardized exams scheduled for this spring.  New York has begun the process of seeking federal testing waivers, admitting that exams “cannot be safely, equitably and fairly administered to all students.” You can join the effort by adding to the nearly 7000 signers of the National Call to Suspend High Stakes Testing at https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/suspend-high-stakes-student-testing

Free Theatre Camp for students ages 11-15

  • We are gearing up for Colt Coeur’s 11th Annual FREE Theatre Camp for students ages 11-15. The program is 100% FREE and will operate virtually (again) this year, on 5 Saturdays from February 27th to March 27th (12-2pm ET). There will be a presentation for family and friends on Sunday, March 28th.
  • Please help us spread the word to students, families, teachers, administrators – or anyone you know who might be interested in this free program! We welcome students from around the country but prioritize NYC public school students.
  • Click here to learn more and fill out the application form. (Please submit by February 10th, 2021.)
