Family Input Needed For Family Title I Funding

  • BCS received Title I funding this school year, which includes a 1% set aside for programs and activities that families decide how to spend to promote and encourage involvement in the BCS community and our students’ education.
  • Please take five minutes to complete this survey by Thursday, December 13, to share how you would like us to spend the funds set aside for family activities and programming.  Families are essential partners in our student’s education at BCS. One of the requirements is that families determine how the 1% family allocation is to be used that would have the most benefit.
  • This year we have over $5000 set aside that we need to decide on how to spend.
  • If the links above don’t work, you can copy and paste the survey link from here: https://forms.gle/FaiVTuxRv6do1eUJ9
  • Title I is the largest federal aid package for schools. It provides funds to schools in need based on various factors, such as student enrollment, free and reduced lunch percentages, and other information and data. The US Department of Education distributes Title I funds to State Departments of Education, which then distribute the funds to qualifying schools.
  • BCS uses Title I funding school-wide. Therefore, every BCS student benefits from the added services and programs these funds support.
