Dear BCS Students and Families,
We hope you had a safe and restful long weekend. We continue to be inspired by the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. In one of his speeches, Dr. King said, “We may have all come on different ships, but we’re in the same boat now.” That is the true spirit of crew – a community working together so that we can all succeed. ANNOUNCEMENTS
Take your at-home COVID test before coming to school on Tues
- All students in attendance on Fri 1/14 received an at-home COVID test
- Please take this test Monday night so that we feel comforted that community members are COVID negative when school resumes
PupilPath Update
- As you know, Pupilpath’s servers have been down since last Saturday. This is a challenging loss of an important system that we use daily.
- At this point, we are waiting for Pupilpath’s return, which we anticipate to be at some point this week. They plan to restore Pupilpath in phases, with emphasis on the most important features first like gradebooks and attendance. The DOE is also supporting with the issue as it has impacted many schools systemwide. Please stay tuned and thanks for your patience.
This Tuesday – Mastery Support
- We have Tuesday Mastery Support on Tues 2:20pm-3:15pm – all students are welcome – check in with your teachers, revise assessments, get help, increase your mastery. Please stay afterschool on Tuesdays with your teachers!
Upcoming dates
- Mon 1/17 – no school, Dr. MLK Jr Day
- Tues 1/18 – Thurs 1/27 – regular classes for all students
- Tues 1/25 – grades due by teachers
- Fri 1/28 – last day of fall semester
- Lower Grades – Crew Ice Skating – if inclement weather, crew day back at school
- Upper Grades – MPBAT Day – no regular classes, only 11th and 12th grade students scheduled for MPBATs come that day, all other high school students stay at home
- Mon 1/31 – no school, professional development day for teachers
- Tues 2/1 – no school, Lunar New Year
- Wed 2/2 – first day of spring semester
- Mon 2/21 – Fri 2/25 – no school, mid-winter recess
